Time for Giving Thanks! |
It is Thanksgiving and the CYC has much to be thankful for in 2007. First and foremost, the CYC is thankful for today’s youth. To provide a place where kids of the Bay Area can participate in sports and academic programs – where they can learn the intangibles of discipline, dedication and desire – this is a gift to us all. It is our future.
Each and every day kids at the CYC are setting and working toward goals. The CYC is thankful for your support for helping make this happen. Thanks to all of the Big C members who have supported and,or participated in one or more of our three major fundraisers and annual giving campaign. The CYC community is strong. From corporate sponsors to volunteers to community leaders to people who just care about helping kids, the CYC families, staff and board of directors thank you.
In mid-October, the CYC proudly celebrated receiving a $15,000 grant donation from the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame (BASHOF). BASHOF serves the Bay Area by funding youth sports programs. The CYC received one of the largest BASHOF grants for 2007 with the funds being used to purchase new sports equipment.
