Did you know this about Ed Austin? |
August 2006 - Just returned from a 10-day educational trip to Korea where he visited Kukkiwon, the headquarters of the World Taekwondo Federation and met personally with the Federation President and Vice President. He also brought back a new technique to teach his CYC students – a first in the U.S.
Trained in taekwondo for 32 years under renowned Grand Master D.K. Shin and is a 6th Dan (black belt).
A quiet, humble instructor, Ed believes taekwondo is not just a sport, but “a way of perfecting yourself…a path to your fulfillment.”
Private investigation, private, executive security, the restaurant business and an instructor at his own branch school (Hwarang Kwan) in San Rafael were all career stops for Ed before the CYC.
A gifted jack-of-all trades, Ed pitches in and performs various fix-it tasks around the CYC. |
