Scott’s Boxing Show a Success! |
| June 2007 - The Community Youth Center was bustling in late May during the 7th Annual Scott’s Boxing Show. More than 325 guests enjoyed delicious food and wine, great friendship, fun raffle prizes and exciting boxing action at this annual fundraiser. “Mr. C From Heaven” aka Howard Cosell was the Master of Ceremonies and added special flair throughout the evening. One highlight was Mr. C interviewing CYC’s 10-year-old Guillermo Banos, as Eric Altamirano looked on. Eric, along with Daniel Thomas, will represent CYC at the USA Boxing Nationals in Colorado Springs in early June. Other notable moments from the memorable evening included head coach Gary Sullenger’s interaction with his young boxers as CYC won five of six matches and was named “Best Team of the Night.” Thanks to those of you who were able to attend. |
