8th Annual Scott’s Amateur Boxing Show
If it’s May, it’s time to experience one of the most exciting events of the year at the Community Youth Center (CYC). The 8th Annual Scott’s Amateur Boxing Show and Dinner, being held on Wednesday, May 21, always proves to a knock-out night for everybody who attends!
Every year, Head Boxing Coach Gary Sullenger puts together an eight-bout program and picks some shining young boxing athletes who are examples of the CYC work ethic. At that time, the CYC is transformed into a beautiful dining room with a boxing ring in the center. The evening unfolds at 6 p.m. as doors open with a cocktail hour. Dinner, catered by Scott’s Seafood Restaurants, is served at 7 p.m. with the boxing card beginning at 8 p.m.
Proceeds benefit not only the CYC boxing program, but all the other sports and programs aimed at benefiting the community’s youth. The event affords the CYC the opportunity to showcase what the Center is all about to its guests. With boxing being one of the signature programs, it gives people a chance to tour the facility, meet all the CYC head coaches and see some wonderful young athletes in action. We hope you will join us!
The cost is $150 per person. Dinner is catered by Scott’s Seafood Restaurants. For more information, please contact Heather Powers, Director of Corporate Events at (925) 682-4830.
